The various Enemies in Days Gone. The world of Days Gone quickly emerges as another main Character. While the freakers might be a standout feature that people cling to, they’re far from the biggest danger in the wilderness. Human enemies are clever, and take a beating before they finally collapse. Infected bears with barbed wire attached to them threaten to rip you to shreds. Most of all, a cruel and inhospitable climate threatens to leave you stranded, frozen, or dead at the bottom of a ravine.

- Freakers - In addition to human Drifters, marauders and militia, Deacon must face a wilderness overrun by Freakers – mindless, feral creatures, more animal than human but very much alive and quickly evolving. Freakers have needs, habits and behaviors that the player can learn and adapt to.
- Infected Bears - Chained with barbed wire attached to them they threaten to rip you to shreds.
